"Just living is not enough... one must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower." Hans Christian Andersen

Natural clique is a blog site that provides in-depth investigations into the positive effects of peoples’ relationships with nature. Through our articles we strives to provide fact-based discussions on the psychological, physical, economical, and emotional benefits we as people get from our interactions with nature. Such discussions explore not only what we can get from interacting with the natural, but also how we can use our interactions to change our and others lives, not to mention how we can give back and protect that which we love for future generations.

We believe that part of being in love with nature, is finding wonder in it, and the incredible organisms, systems and processes that exist within it, because of this, we have sought to find and share fascinating facts and news stories along with our own articles. From time to time, we will share on our own explorations in the natural world, what these have meant to us, and our suggestions of places to see, things to do, and worlds to explore.

This is a new adventure for us, one of which we hope to take you along on, and one in which we can expand our understanding and knowledge of the natural, and its connection to our own well-being.

Why 'natural clique'?

‘Clique’ is defined by the Oxford dictionary as: ‘A small close-knit group of people who do not readily allow others to join them’. Under such a definition you would not be blamed for wondering why in the world we would choose to call our site ‘natural clique’. However, under a social science understanding of the word, a clique is a group of individuals with a shared interest that tend to interact more often and with more intensity then others in the same setting. Indeed, the occurrence of cliques in our lives is a common occurrence, and largely regarded as important parts to our development. You may not always have felt like you fitted in to cliques you grew up with or live with, but you will have enjoyed and benefited from your own cliques be they in the real world or online.

Natural clique.com is a site that brings people with a shared love and interest in nature together, that we might develop in our knowledge and awareness of the wonderful effects of being in nature.
